Welcome

Roanmore Ladies Gaelic Football play championship matches from Spring through Summer and start up again Spring 2012! However, we don't just leave the winter out in the cold to get unfit for the games in the spring. We continue our training indoors over the winter twice weekly, the same as Spring & Summer.

We set up in 2010 and our U12's gained a place in the final, whilst, our U14's team went on to win the the C Championship final. A great achievement for the girls, some of which never played gaelic football before and now, well let them tell the story. So watch this space for continued updates.


In 2011 the club has an U12's, U14's and U16's team in the forthcoming championship starting on Saturday April 2nd with Ballysaggart. Best of luck to the girls to another great year ahead.

Fee's & Costs Involved

Annual Club registration for U18's is €30 per child and includes injury fund.
This must be paid in full or instalments by April 22nd 2011.

G4M's

Each member pays towards the annual cost of insurance. The G4M's club subsidises the costs with each player paying an annual fee of €25.
Training is set at €3 per week (Two sessions per week) per Child/G4M's. €5 for two girls from one family.

Tuesdays 6-7pm
Sundays 11am - 12pm

G4M'S (Gaelic for Mothers)

Is an non competitive element of the Ladies Gaelic set up for mothers who would like to keep fit in a fun manner while meeting other mothers in the locality or in some cases an opportunity to meet their children's friends/team members parents.
The only criteria a lady should meet is a willingness to have great fun playing ball and get fit in the process. The G4M's organise many social events throughout the year, including blitzes and nights out.

Tuesdays 7.30pm - 8.30pm
Thursdays 7.30pm - 8.30pm
Venue: Pairc Ui Mhurcu, Cleaboy road

The G4M's attends an annual Blitz held by the National Ladies Gaelic for Mothers in Dublin, usually in October. This is an opportunity for the ladies to meet other ladies/mothers from around the country.
