U12 City League
Our two U12 teams got their City League campaign's up and running during the past week. First up was our team competing in Division 3 when they made the short journey to Ballybeg to play St. Saviours on Wednesday evening. Our young team played some super hurling and ran out winners on a scoreline of 3-10 to no score. This was followed by our Division 2 team who played Clonea in Carriganore. This game was tight in the first half but once the boys got going they got some lovely scores and ran out winners on a scoreline of 2-8 to 1-1. Well done to all the players and management with an excellent start to the season.

U13 Roanmore Cup
The annual Roanmore Cup played between our two feeder schools St. Paul's and Gael Scoil Na Deise was played last Thursday in Walsh Park in front of a large group of parents and Roanmore supporters. St. Paul's who were aiming to win back this Cup for the first time in 9 years were very determined and it showed in their play with excellent displays by the Roanmore Club players on both teams. It was St. Paul's who emerged with the victory on a scoreline of 3-7 to 1-4. Best for the St.Pauls was Adam Dobbyn in goal who made some excellent saves and his defence with Matthew Walsh, Cian Dunne and Benjamin Meistas in fine form. Eoghan Barry was a power house in midfield and the very lively Aaron McCabe, Darragh Hearne and Steven Cooke in attack and were not to be denied on this occasion. For Gael Scoil, Alex Furlong played a real Captains part and did all he could to help his school in this match. He was helped most by Èanna McHugh, Conor Melo, Kayden Kavanagh Drennan, Tom Kavanagh and Ben O Riordan. Well done boys, and good luck to both schools in the remainder of the school competition.
