Weekly Notes for 10th December 2018
10th December 2018
Roanmore GAA Club AGM
On Friday last, we held our annual club AGM at our Social centre in Cleaboy. In a well attended meeting, a review of 2018 activities were discussed and plans for 2019 were laid out. It was encouraging to see some new faces in attendance and it’s a credit to the club that all positions were filled on the night. The following executive committee and team management positions were filled:
Chairman: John Ryan
Treasurer: Liam Ryan
Secretary: Keith Kennedy
PRO: Tim McEnery
Children’s Officer: Barry Drohan
Senior Hurling Manger: Philip Murphy
Junior A Manager: Stephen Cowman
Junior C Manager: Liam Ryan
U-17 Manager: Kevin Doran
U-19 Manager: John Ryan
Junior Football Manager: Emmet O'Toole
The major talking point on the night was the ambition of the club to field a third adult team in 2019 and this aspiration was well received by all in attendance.
Although we are deep into December, it is heartening to still see hurling being played within the club. Next Sunday our U21 hurlers face St.Molleran’s in the Eastern final in Carriganore at 13:30. Best of luck to all players in this match.
Social Centre Patron’s Christmas Night
We would like to take this opportunity to invite all our Social Club patron’s to this years event on Saturday 22nd December to show our thanks for your support throughout the year. A great nights entertainment is planned with doors open from 8:30 and music on the night is supplied by Gerry Walsh and Dallas.
Christmas is coming and an ideal present from Santa would be some Roanmore attire. All our Club gear is now available on the O’Neills web page, log on and follow the links to our Club.
Sunday Night Entertainment in Roanmore Social Centre
Why not join us in the Roanmore Centre next Sunday for some live music in the Lounge from 10pm.
Why not come and view our private function rooms or call the Roanmore Sports and Social Centre on 051-358599 after 6pm or email email@example.com . You won’t be disappointed. Did you know that we have two function rooms available and that smaller parties can also be accommodated. Why not call and see if the venue is suitable for your needs.
