Weekly Notes for 11th June 2018

Notes 11th June 2018

U12 City League

Our U12 hurlers got back to winning ways last Thursday evening in Portlaw against the home team. A strong first half from the team saw us lead at Half time 3-1 to 2pts. As the old saying goes "goals win matches" and this was the case in this match. The team showed some great defending in the second and we finished the match on a scoreline of 4-1 to 1-4. Well done to all.

U10 Hurling

We had two U10 teams challenge two Mt Sion teams in a mini blitz in Cleaboy last Saturday. Both of our teams played excellent hurling in the matches and these boys are enjoying the games and improving every time they take to the pitch. Well done boys keep up the good work.

U13 Schools Co. Final

Our feeder school Gael Scoil Na Deise played Tallow in the U13 Co. Final on Thursday last in Gracedieu with a large number of Roanmore players involved for the school. It was great to see them in this final but unfortunately Tallow proved too strong on the day and returned West with the Cup. Well done to all the Roanmore players who represented the school so well this year. Also congratulations to joint team Captain Callum Carroll who played at half time in the Waterford Championship match V Tipperary on the Waterford Primary School team.
