U11 Hurling

Piltown were the visitors to Cleaboy on Friday last for round 3 of the U11 City League. With a dry night and the pitch in good condition the scene was set for a good game. From the start this game did not disappoint as it flowed from end to end with our lads showing a great eye for goal at half time we led 3-3 to 1-1 with goals from Adam, Eoin and Darragh the points coming from Eoin. There was also some great defending throughout by Cathal, Matthew, Caoilinn and Kayden. In the second half playing into a stiff breeze Aaron came off goal and Daniel B took over the number 1 jersey showing great versatility both had a great second half in their new positions. We also introduced 3 subs with the forwards now all U10s we went onto score 4 more goals in this period from Daniel R, Sean and Èanna with 2. Daniel R also getting a point. Tom Kavanagh got his first run out with the U11s also and showed some great touches setting up 2 goals in the second half. So a great spread of scores all made possible by the work rate of Benjamin in midfield overall a good display by Roanmore winning on a score line of 7-4 to 2-6.
