Weekly Notes for 30th January 2017

2017 Senior Hurling Championship Draw

The draw for the 2017 Senior hurling championship was made last Monday and we are in a group with Mount Sion, Fourmilewater, Lismore, Passage and Portlaw. The first round match is against Portlaw in April. Although the evenings are still dark outside, the players are well into pre-season training and looking forward to the challenge ahead.


National GAA Draw

Tickets for this national draw are currently on sale but time is running out to purchase a ticket to be in with a chance to win one of the fantastic prizes while showing your support for the club. Where else would 100% of the ticket price remain with the club. Please have tickets in this weekend at the latest.


Club Social

The club social is being held next Friday (3rd February) at our Centre on Cleaboy Road. Tickets will cost €8 each. This night is an important event in our calendar as we present the young player of the year (Paul Hayes award), Hurler of the Year (Sonny Murphy award) and the Club Person of the Year (Paddy Hayes award). Get your tickets early.


Roanmore Academy

Every Saturday at 11am in the WIT Arena Carriganore for beginners and U8 group. New and returning players always welcome. Fully qualified coaches and all Garda Vetted. Hurley and Helmets provided for beginners. Contact Eric 0863395920 for further details.

U12/U11/U10 and U9 Hurling.
This commences on Saturday the 4th of February in WIT Cariganore Astro pitch from 1pm to 2pm. Contact David 0868241060 for further details.


Flag Day

A big thank you to our members that participated in our annual flag collection last Thursday and Friday. A special mention to Michael Power for organising this event.


Deceased Members Mass

Mass for deceased members will be held on Thursday 23rd February at 7:30 at the Roanmore Centre on Cleaboy Road.


Membership

Now that 2017 is here, it is time to renew your annual club membership.
This year’s fees are as follows:
Family (2 adults and all children under 18) €300 - This includes free Deise Draw ticket, value €90 and gives you 9 chances to win €10,000 plus lots of other prizes.
Adult (over 18) €180
Juvenile €50

The Kube at Roanmore

With just three weeks remaining until we have the Kube. 36 Contestants (6 heats of 6 contestants) will enter the KUBE and be set tasks to test their Mental and Physical Ability, Intelligence and Responsiveness, but only 1 will be lucky enough to WIN! The winner will secure the €1,000 grand prize. Please make sure all your friends and family get liking our Facebook page to share this event far and wide. This night promises to be an excellent event for the club. See you there.


Lotto Draw

The next Lotto draw is on Monday 30th January. A big thank you to all patrons that support this fundraising event. Jackpot is €14,900 this month and tickets cost €2.


Sunday Night Entertainment

Next Sunday (5th February) we have Bim Connors performing in the bar from 7:30 to 9:30 followed by Jimmy and Hank in the Lounge from 10pm. Why not come along for some of the night and be entertained.
